Groovy Girls Tri

Well, I did it!! I felt like I was going to throw up for most of the morning, but once I saw all the other newbies like me, I started to calm down. Here are some pictures from the race.

39 hours 48 minutes until I compete in my very first triathlon. I am sooo nervous!! I think it will only get worse until the actual event! My goal is just to finish...I mean, I want to be competitive, but I'm not going in expecting to win an award. If I can make through the swim, I will be good (as long as I don't have a bike accident!). Anyway, wish me luck!

Sorry about the blurry pictures...I guess I need to work on my picture taking skills--or get a new camera--or both...

He Likes Carrots!!

We scored with carrots...Daniel likes them a lot more than rice cereal!! He eats a good bit, but then gets tired of it and just wants his bottle!

For Jane

Here is the recipe for the chicken pasta I made last night. I'm sorry there aren't any measurements...It's kinda whatever you prefer.

1 package Orzo pasta
2 cans sliced, stewed tomatoes
1 zucchini, sliced
grilled chicken
heavy whipping cream (I used milk beacuse we were out of cream, but it is better with cream)
Parmesan cheese (some mixed in, and more to sprinkle on top)
salt, pepper, and Tony's

You can really switch it up to include whatever veggies or meats you have on hand. I hope you enjoy! Too bad I don't have a picture to post...

Olympic Fever!!

Only 66 days until the opening ceremonies of the 2008 Olympic games!! I am sooo excited. I love watching the Olympics. My favorite sports are gymnastics, swimming, and diving. I get such a patriotic feeling watching all of our talented athletes go for the gold!

I am starting now to save my pennies so maybe we can go to the 2012 games in London. That would be so amazing to see them compete in person. A girl can hope, right?! Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy the Olympics as much as I do!
