Daniel James Huddleston

Well, the world has another new red head. Daniel James Huddleston was born on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 5:43pm via c-section. We induced labor at 7am that morning, but I never dilated past 6cm, so the doctor decided we needed to do a c-section. When Daniel was born, we realized why...either his head was too big (14inches) or my pelvis is just too small. Either way, he is here and we are all doing great. He is the most beautiful baby I have ever seen (I know I am biased!) and he does have red hair! So far we are all adjusting very well. He only cries when having his diaper changed or being bathed...he doesn't like being naked! We will be going home tomorrow so Daniel can get used to his new home...thank goodness grandmas are coming to help! We will have pictures up soon.

Tuesday is the big day!!!

Well, I went to the doctor this past Thursday, and basically nothing was happening. I am only 1-2cm, 50% effaced, and the baby is still pretty high...so, the doctor gave me the option to be induced. My blood pressure has been a little high, and I have a lot of swelling in my legs, so I said, "I'm ready...let's do it!" So, Tuesday morning at 7am we will be at Woman's Hospital awaiting the arrival of our little bundle of joy. It seems like forever ago that we found out we were having a baby, and now we are so close to getting to meet him. I am so excited!!
