trying to make a living...
As many of you probably know, I am a consultant for both Pampered Chef and Stampin' Up! So, if anyone is ever interested in hosting a party or catalog show for either one, don't hesitate to let me know! I have a website for each (the links are to the left), so go ahead and check it out. I am hoping that this will help bring in some extra income so I can stay home with the baby! If you know anyone who might be interested, feel free to spread the word! I appreciate all the support I can get!!

Recovering from Christmas
I hope that everyone had a very merry Christmas! We were very busy. We spent the weekend in Pineville and did Christmas with Adam's family on Saturday night. As soon as dinner was over, all I heard was "Is it time to open presents yet?" repeated over and over by a 7 year old, a 3 year old, and a few adults :-P And if any of you have ever seen the show "The Family Guy", and even if you haven't, you can appreciate this...Family Guy. This was my nephew Noah all day Sunday!
We spent Christmas Eve afternoon at my grandmother's house, where Daniel came home with more presents than Adam and I combined! It was quite humorous because people have been telling me, "It isn't about you anymore...It's all about the baby!" How true it is! We spent Christmas Eve night at my mom's house. We got to spend time with family we hadn't seen in a while, and that was really fun. But I have to say that I am glad we stayed home on Christmas day. It was nice to relax and not do anything! Adam spent the day playing video games while I tried sorting through Santa's tornado that blew through our living room. And then today, unfortunately, it was back to work.
On a random note, Adam and I went to get library cards today...I know, I know, it's not that big of a deal, but it kinda makes staying in Baton Rouge seem more permanent now :-) Well, I hope you all had a great holiday and are recovering well...as for me, I am looking forward to the next best thing--LSU in the National Championship!!! Geaux Tigers!!!

Tagged!
I've been tagged by Stacy to do the "Seven Things Meme".
The rules are that you list seven random facts about yourself, then you tag seven people to do the same. Make sure you leave them a comment to let them know they've been tagged.
My Seven Very Random Facts:
1. I was the 2002 Ozone Camellia Festival Queen.
2. I HATE beans...red, white, black, doesn't matter, I hate them all...it's a texture thing!
3. I love Coke from a can and Diet Coke from the fountain.
4. I was born on D-Day.
5. I have seen the beginning and middle of almost every movie we own...I usually miss the end because I fall asleep.
6. I love the cold weather so much, that I refuse to use the heater! That's what sweatshirts are for :-P
7. I love shoes, but nine times out of ten, I am wearing black flip flops.
My next mission is to find seven people who haven't already been tagged!

Daniel James' face

Updates...
It's been a while, so I figured I should post a little update. First and foremost, baby news...At the last ultrasound, Daniel James weighed 13oz., and the tech said he had big feet! We have to have another u/s on the 24th becaue they couldn't get a picture of his face, but other than that, everything looks good. We have started cleaning out the extra bedroom, and we will soon be getting the crib! It all seems so real now...the worst part is, I can't stop myself from buying clothes and toy for him at the store! (My mom said there won't be anything left for people to get me for my shower, but I'm not convinced!)
Law school news...lots and lots of reading. Every day when I get home from work, I find Adam either sitting on the couch or at the desk with his nose in a book (actually, a few books!). I am so proud of him for being so dedicated and hardworking...but I will be very glad when this semester is over!!
In other news, I have decided to become a Pampered Chef consultant, so if you guys are ever in need of some PC products or want to host a cooking or catalog show, just let me know!
Random thought for the moment...I wish that cool weather would come back!! That is my favorite kind of weather, and I was a little sad when I woke up this morning and it was gone. Anyway, I'll stop my delerious rambling...can you tell I've been up since 4am? :-P
PS. We got a new keyboard for the computer and most of the keys on the left side don't work unless you hit them really hard, so typing this was really frustrating. If I am missing a few d's, e's, or s's, please understand!

Ultrasound...
Well, my ultrasound wasn't scheduled until September 25th, but I just couldn't wait!! There is a place on Jefferson Hwy. where you can go and have an ultrasound (even the cool 4D ones), so I just had to do it last Friday. And the verdict is in. it's a...........BOY!!!!!! We are so excited! I just knew it was a boy, but Adam thought it was a girl. He is very excited that he is having a boy first. This little boy is an LSU fan already!! We went to the game vs. Middle Tennessee on Saturday, and he was kicking everytime LSU did something good or everytime the band played!!! We still haven't settled on a name, but we still have some time for that. We will definitely keep you guys posted!
The first picture shows him curled up napping with a bunch of placenta like a body pillow and his little arm covering his face...yes, he was napping! the tech kept poking my stomach trying to get him the wake up so we could see his face, but he wasn't having it! The second picture shows his manhood, and the third picture shows him curled up napping again...you can really see his spine!

busy bees
Things have been pretty crazy around here lately. We just got back from a weekend in Destin, which was very nice and relaxing...funny enough, we didn't see the beach the entire time we were there. We did, however, go to the outlet mall!!! and hang out by the pool. It was a nice little break from reality. But, unfortunately, for me, it was back to work while Adam was busy getting ready for law school. He had the first part of orientation today and goes back for the second part tomorrow. Adam said the funniest part was the fact that the refreshments included cups of beer! I find that funny. Anyway, tonight he is busy reading and doing homework he has to have done by the first day of class...boy am I glad that I am done with school!! According to one of the speakers at orientation, he is going to be very busy for the next 3-4 months, so he should get a calendar and "schedule" family time right along with study time...this should be interesting. Paige, I don't know how you do it!! But he is really excited about it, so I guess that's all that matters. Until next time...

Our First Post
Well, I've been wanting to start a blog for a while now (especially after seeing all of our friends' blogs), but I never really knew what to write on here...until now. Today I went to the doctor for my 12 week checkup, and I got to hear the baby's heartbeat. It was absolutely the most amazing experience I have had. Everything seems so real now that I have heard it. The dotor said everything looks good, and the baby's heartbeat was 162 bpm. According to the girls at work, that means it i a girl, but interestingly enough, prior to this, everyone who made a guess said it was a boy. I guess we will see in September when I go for my ultrasound.
