Our First Post

Well, I've been wanting to start a blog for a while now (especially after seeing all of our friends' blogs), but I never really knew what to write on here...until now. Today I went to the doctor for my 12 week checkup, and I got to hear the baby's heartbeat. It was absolutely the most amazing experience I have had. Everything seems so real now that I have heard it. The dotor said everything looks good, and the baby's heartbeat was 162 bpm. According to the girls at work, that means it i a girl, but interestingly enough, prior to this, everyone who made a guess said it was a boy. I guess we will see in September when I go for my ultrasound.

Welcome to blogger!!! I'm so glad to have another friend in the blogging world...just so you know, Calyn's heartbeat was 150-153. I've never heard that "method" of guessing the sex. Oh Well!

Alright! I'm glad to have you aboard! Just so you know, Ayden had a fast heartbeat and a nurse thought he would be a girl, but the ultrasound and living proof shows differently.

You HAVE to look at Alma & MacKenzie Tuck's blog and get yourself a baby ticker. It's awesome!

don't believe the baby heartbeat tales. brennan had a girl's heart rate my entire pregnancy, but he is sure a boy...congrats on expecting, though. i am sure you and adam are thrilled.
(by the way, this is jessica from BR2...but we moved to omaha...and i used to be in the youth program with adam.)

Hey,
I was wondering what the heart beat was. When I was pregnant with Connor, his first heartbeat was around 163. After that, it flucuated between 155 and 160. Noah's was anywhere from 150-160. Connor's OB told me that it was his experience that boys were usually around this range, and girls were higer, 170 and up. But, he also said that this is not always accurate. Noah's OB also told me that this was an old wives tale. Anyway, I still think it's a boy. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
Keep us informed,
Malissa and Vernon

That's awesome. I just got back from vacation and I'm about to get my talk together and I'm not really looking foward to it. But that is so exciting. I guess you can hardly wait until September...I know I couldn't. I will post some pics from our vacation on our blog when I get them developed. And keep the blogs coming.

I am so excited for you. You need to post a picture of you & Adam so I can shoe Emma. I don't think I even have a picture of you.
