TAGGED by Jane...

HIM OR ME

What is his name? Adam Gerald Huddleston

How long did you date? We dated for a little over one year before we got married. We dated for about 7 months before we got engaged, but we were friends and took classes together for a while before we started dating.

How old is he? 27...I always joke with him that he was "robbing the cradle"!

Who said I love you first? This is pretty sad, but I don't remember. I bet it was him because I was probably too scared to say it first.

Who is smarter? It depends on the subject...we both have our strengths. When it comes to sports, ask him...anything else, ask me! J/K!

Whose temper is worse? We both have fairly bad tempers, but they are just set off by different things.

Who does the laundry? Most of the time Adam starts it because he is out of underwear or something, but I tend to finish it because he usually forgets to switch the clothes over to the dryer!

Who does the dishes? This is a team effort. I usually load the dishwasher, and Adam usually unloads the dishwasher because our cabinets are pretty crammed and unorganized (which really annoys me!).

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? If you are looking at the bed, Adam sleeps on the right. We switched sides ONCE, and Adam swore it threw off his whole day!

Who pays the bills? Adam pays most of them because I am bad about remembering when they are due until the last minute! (Oops!) Thankfully most of them are automatically debited from our bank account.

Who cooks dinner? Lately, it has been me because I am home all day while Adam is at school. But he is a very good cook...especially when it comes to Italian. He really likes to experiment too...not always a good thing! :-P But it usually turns out pretty good.

Who drives when you are together? Adam. Always.

Who is more stubborn? I would say Adam, but if you asked him, he would say me...go figure!

Whose parents do you see the most? It's pretty even. Mine are about an hour and a half away and his are about two hours away. We've seen a lot f both of them since Daniel's arrival..you know, doting grandparents and all.

Who proposed? Adam...it was very unromantic, but it was very Adam!!

Who has more siblings? Adam, by a longshot!! I am number 2 of 3, but Adam is number 9 of 10!!

Who wears the pants in the family? Adam says he does, but I tell him which ones to wear! :-P

I am tagging Kathy and Stacy!

"First Bath" and "Daddy's Little Buddy"

Pictures of Daniel's first bath...which he enjoyed a lot more than I thought he would. He wiggled so much that he was slippin' and slidin' around his little baby tub. I had to hold him while Adam bathed him. The other pictures are Daniel with his daddy.

trying to get back in shape

Now that Daniel is here, it is time to get back in shape. This past December a lot of the Huddleston crew ran the Baton Rouge half-marathon. They decided to make this a tradition, so my goal is to be able to run the half-marathon this December. Obviously, I have a long way to go! I haven't seriously run since I played soccer in high school! So, if anyone is interested, I am looking for a running partner...let's face it, it's no fun running by yourself. I am also looking for a gym to join, so any advice on that is greatly appreciated. I am torn between two at the moment--the Woman's Center for Wellness (run by Woman's Hospital) or the YMCA. Woman's is nice because it has childcare while you workout, and it is just for women...but it is a little pricey. The YMCA is cheaper and also has childcare. If anyone has any input or other suggestions, please let me know! My first goal is to run LSU's Loop the Lake race on April 5th. It is a 4.1 mile run around the LSU lakes. Feel free to join me!

Stamping Fun

I just wanted to share a little project I worked on while Daniel was napping. I hope you like it.

Almost 3 weeks old!!

I can't believe it has been almost 3 weeks. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. We are so thankful to have this new little addition to our family. And luckily, Daniel is a pretty good baby! He only cries when he is hungry or needs a diaper change...let's hope it stays that way!! He is such an amazing little person, and I can't wait until his personality really starts to show. It is so exciting getting to know him. I'm a little nervous, but I can't wait to see what the future has in store for us!
